Movie Description Review

Clearly inspired by John Carpenter's Escape From New York, as well as the borrowing of a significant plot element of the LA-set sequel, the film takes place in the year 2079. It begins with his hero, Kelly (Pearce) - a name is much cooler than two in this kind of film - a pulp beaten by a government agent (a glowering Peter Stormare) as they react to every stroke with an insouciant joke.
It seems that the snow, a former agent himself, is falsely accused of a crime and sent over a 30-year sentence starting with MS-1, a maximum-security prison in outer space. But when hundreds of prisoners suddenly awoke from their cryogenic state and hostages, including the president's daughter Emilie (Maggie Grace), Snow offered his freedom in exchange for a solo rescue mission.
There is a more complicated aspects of the plot - the prison is also home to a man who knows where a mysterious briefcase as Snow's innocence can be proven - but with such an indifference by directors Stephen St. Leger and James Mather deal together wrote the screenplay with Besson, that they scarcely worth relating.

Landing on the orbiting prison which corresponds to a '50s era North Korean factory, Snow found himself quickly battling the jumpsuit wearing bad guys led by the scholar Alexandre (Vincent Regan) and his psychotic brother (Joseph Gilgun), who besides carrying of the terrible acts of violence speak with a thick Scottish brogue that subtitles would have been helpful. In fact, the prisoners included in a strange preponderance of Brits, who makes one wonder about the demographics of the futuristic America.
When the snow finally encounters Emilie, she was near death from lack of oxygen and was forced to revive her with a syringe to her eye. Unfortunately for him, his kindness to the kind of feisty lady is not easy even with a prospective rescuer, so the two quickly traded insults even while fending off numerous attackers.
The action setpieces - including a motorcycle chase so many rely on inefficient CGI effects that look like a decades-old video game - are ultimately much less than the devil-may-care one-liners so breezily tossed by Pearce memorable. Looks like a two-eyed version of Kurt Russell's snake Plissken appears to be the actor is a good time, even if he is no doubt considering the film's franchise prospects.
